The rule for 2027
Bats must carry the USSSA FP stamp, or be wood.

The USSSA mark must be permanently applied by a licensed maker (no stickers). Bats with any ball suggestion printed on them are illegal. USSSA's rulebook link was down, so length and barrel limits aren't confirmed.
What the stamps mean
- USSSA fastpitch mark: USSSA's fastpitch certification, permanently applied by a licensed maker. Stickers and decals don't count. Official list.
- one-piece solid wood: One-piece solid wood is legal almost everywhere without a stamp. Multi-piece, laminated, bamboo and composite-wood bats usually do need a certification mark.
