Bats must carry the NSA stamp, or be wood. Barrel 2 1/4" max. Length 34" max.

The bat needs the NSA 2012 logo and must come from a company on NSA's approved list. A USA-only or USSSA-only bat is not NSA-legal. Wood bats must be stamped "Softball" or "Official Softball".
What the stamps mean
- NSA 2012 logo, from an NSA-approved bat company: NSA requires the NSA 2012 logo, and the maker must be on NSA's Approved Bat Company list. A bat marked only USA or only USSSA is not NSA-legal. Official list.
- one-piece solid wood: One-piece solid wood is legal almost everywhere without a stamp. Multi-piece, laminated, bamboo and composite-wood bats usually do need a certification mark.
